Paris - To be more competitive on the world automotive market, the German carmaker, Daimler AG is reportedly in a relationship with a Japanese automaker, Nissan in producing vehicles, especially luxury car brands namely Nissan Infiniti.
Nissan Executive Vice President for Africa, the Middle East, India and Europe Colin Dodge does not mention what models will work with both manufacturers, but he said Nissan and Daimler will discuss it further at the October 2, 2010.
"This will be a unique model with exceptional cabin conditions," Dodge said as reported by Reuters on Thursday (30/09/2010).
But Dodge keen not to hurry with this great plan. He could not say when the plan will unfold. Because this becomes a global agreement which of course needed careful because it involves the future of both companies.
Nissan-Renault and Daimler recently signed an agreement in a small car manufacturing project. In this project also included about cross-ownership.
Imagine if the partnership the two companies actually interwoven. This will be a new scheme in the automotive world to come.
