Drug defendant gets 5 to 10 years, loses Jetta
Darrell Butler will spend five to 10 years in state prison and must surrender his Volkswagen Jetta from which he sold crack cocaine, a judge ruled Tuesday.
An undercover officer purchased crack cocaine for $250 from Butler inside the vehicle so the Luzerne County District Attorney's Office filed to seize the car.
The district attorney's office will transfer the car to the Edwardsville police. Butler, meanwhile, will also make restitution to state police for $105 and the state Attorney General's Office for $250 as part of the sentence that Luzerne County Judge Hugh Mundy imposed Tuesday.
