No serious injuries have been reported in the crash between two cars in Hinchley Wood.

A red Peugeot 106 and another car are believed to have crashed at about 6pm this evening on Manor Road South near Surbiton High School playing fields.

The driver of a nearby K3 bus is believed to have stopped to help after witnessing the smash.

All the passengers were then taken away from the scene.

The female driver of the Peugeot is understood to have suffered whiplash and bruises in the accident.

It is not known what injuries the other driver received, but they are not thought to be serious.

An eye-witness described the scene as "very serious".

He said the two cars involved in the crash looked "written off".

Police are understood not to have cordoned the road after the accident.
