Honda Element Discontinue
TOKYO-American Honda Motor Co. has just announced the Honda Element will halt production after its 2011 models appear.
Though Element has no "age" is quite old. The car that had received the title as the most friendly car with a pet that first appeared in December 2002.
At that time the element is present as a rival of the Toyota Scion xB and Mitsubishi Outlander.
"Element proves, the main function of the car can be born in a box. That's what makes the box-shaped vehicle designs look so cool," said Executive Vice President of American Honda's John Mendel, as quoted by CNN on Monday (6/12/2010).
Some of the world's media call, Element as a vehicle that upholds the value of a cubist philosophical. Which offers a high level of flexibility.
But Elements has also been involved in the case of recall. In 2003-2004 this car withdrawn from circulation because the ignition switch problem. Then in 2007-2008 was withdrawn due to improper braking system mechanism and module stability. Not long ago these elements also had direcall because damage to the cable transmission.
Honda claim since it was first raised, the Element has successfully sold 325,000 units. But the decision was allegedly Element production halt because consumers are more interested in the crossover SUV.
